It’s here! After months of rehearsals, competition season for Indoor Percussion starts this weekend! The 31 dedicated students and 7 staff in Winter Percussion and Guard have been hard at work at practices since the end of November. They have had biweekly evening rehearsals, rehearsals during Christmas break, and a few full-day Saturday camps to learn their music and drill. There are lots of moving pieces to make the show a success, and a lot of work has been done behind the scenes as well to ensure a great performance.
Here are some photos and videos from rehearsals over the last few months:
Parents have been hard at work creating sets and background pieces. There is always so much to do!
The Hershberger's kitty wanted to help Tim build sets!
Woodlan Indoor Percussion will be performing this weekend at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis at 12:18pm. They will be the second group (out of 8) to perform in their class (PSB). Performances in their class run from 12:09pm to 1:13pm. Awards are scheduled to be held at 4:48pm.
It would be amazing if you could come out to support these kids and cheer them on from the stands. They would love the support! Hope to see you all there!
*General Admission will be $7 and Seniors 65+ will be $5.
