Saturday night, October 22, Mr. and Mrs. Slattery hosted the Annual Halloween Costume Party in their barn. The students were excited and have been planning their costumes for weeks! After working tirelessly on their show for days and weeks and months, these kids were ready to relax and have a fun evening together. These kids were super creative in their gear! Some of the costumes included Gru and his Minions, Scooby Doo, Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy, a 70's disco couple, a murderous hot dog, a Ghostbuster, Shrek, a sugar baby and sugar daddy, a Lego, Barnacle Boy and Mermaid Man from SpongeBob SquarePants, Michael Crilly, Cory Lake (Pit Crew version!), and Mr. Slattery! They played games inside the barn (ping pong, air hockey), took photos at the photo booth, walked on the trails in the woods (while others scared those people walking the trails), had a fire near the woods, and played Ghost in the Graveyard in the woods. They also snacked on hot dogs, chips, candy, cake, cosmic brownies, and pop. It sounds like they all had a great time and lots of fun together.
** Adults were not invited to this party, so the students posted some of their favorite photos of the night to be shared here...
Apparently they gave Scooby-Doo some Scooby Snacks to do tricks throughout the evening, lol!
Haven't you always been afraid of a murderous hot dog???

Yikes!!!
It sounds like the kids all had a great time at Mr. Slattery's home. They have been working tirelessly this season to give their best performance each week, and it was really nice for them to have an evening together to just have fun. They are back at it this week rehearsing and getting ready for Semi-State this weekend. It is surely a stressful week for them, so please do all you can to support them and cheer them on! Looking forward to a great performance this weekend in Franklin! Good luck, Spirit of Woodlan!
